She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. F. Lyman Barnett and V. Vivian Steele Barnett. She is survived by: her husband Joseph Keith Payne, Jr.; her daughters, Julia K. Payne Mieras of Gilbert, AZ and Jenny K. Payne Buchanan of Overland Park, KS; her sons-in-law, Kyle Mieras and Casey Buchanan; her granddaughters, Gracen Josephine Mieras, Hadley Maradith Mieras and Maggie Wen Ke Buchanan; and her sister-in-law Judith K. Payne. She is also survived by her loving family and many friends.
