It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Jean Manczuk (Springfield, Missouri), who passed away on August 2, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Carol Jean departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Carol Jean. Though Carol Jean may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Waymond Watkins and Irene Watkins (Brown); and her former husbands, Barry Buchanan and Casimer Manczuk. She is survived by: her children, Melanie Bishop (Mike) and Greg; her siblings, Jim Watkins (Tamara) and Susie Steele (Leroy); and her grandchildren, Norrin, Amber, Abbey and Allison Bishop. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Agnes Cathedral (533 S Jefferson Ave, Springfield, MO 65806). A Mass will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 11:00 PM to 1:00 AM at the same location.
