He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Griffith and Zoe Yiesley Griffith; and his siblings-in-law, Candy Griffith and Larry Sivils. He is survived by: his wife Patty of Springfield, Missouri; his stepsons, Gary Phillips (Sharon) of St. Louis, J. Stotomas of Washington, D. C. and Ricky Phillips (Margaret) of New Orleans, Louisiana; his grandsons, Ryan and Chad Phillips; and his siblings, Kathy Sivils of Nevada, Missouri, Larry Griffith of South Dakota and Orville Griffith of Ozark, Missouri..

A memorial has been established to Wounded Warriors and donations may be made at the funeral home.
