With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Wendell Higdon Jr. (Springfield, Missouri), born in Saint Louis, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 17, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Wendell and Narva Hilda Higdon (Crites); his sister Sylvia Maxine Alford; and his sons, Joseph Matthias and Matthew Michael Higdon.
He is survived by: his son Charles Wendell Higdon, III (Mara); his grandchildren, Charles Wendell Higdon, IV, Penelope, Walter and Henry of Pacifica; his children, Jonathan Nathaniel Higdon of Marshfield, Missouri, Jennifer Ann Higdon of Springfield and Erika Sabina Higdon (Jason Bressler) of Springfield, Missouri.; his wife Ann Elizabeth Higdon; and his stepsons, Adam Lee Weir (Kori) of Menomonee Falls and C. Paul Weir (Donna) of San Clemente. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
