We announce the death of Connie Jo Wehr of Springfield, Missouri, who passed away on October 1, 2026, at the age of 77. Connie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Connie’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cullie Robert Wehr, Jr. (Bob) and Erma Lee Wehr. She is survived by: her sons, Brent Cates and Shane Cates (Lisa); her grandson Cooper Cates; and her siblings, Patti Johnson (Mark) and Jim Wehr (Trish). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many, many close friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel (5234 State Hwy EE, Springfield, MO 65802). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
