He was predeceased by: his father Marion Swearingen; his brothers, Robert Walz and Michael Swearingen; and his mother-in-law Lois Becker. He is survived by: his mother Leona Swearingen; his wife Martha; his children, Holly (Heath) and Heath Swearingen; his sister Kathryn Shallenberger (HD); his nephew Ian Shallenberger; his father-in-law Carl Becker; his brothers-in-law, Jonathan Becker (Amy) and David Becker (Rachel); and his nieces, Grace, Hope, Lydia and Eleanor Becker.
