She was predeceased by: her parents, James "Ott" Smothers and Vernell "Opaline" Wallace. She is survived by: her husband Jerry; her son Jerry Jr.; and her sisters, Sandra Henard of Beebe, AR, Janet Robertson of Williamsville, MO and Terry McCulley of Paragould, AR. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She fought a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease for over 8 years. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
