He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Gifford and Ruth Gifford (Cunningham); his former wife Sarah C. Gifford; his son Donald Lee Gifford; and his sister Janet Settles.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Gifford; his daughters, Sandy Stokes (Bill) and Kathy Curbow (Dwayne); his daughter-in-law Jill Gifford; his stepson Don Misemer (Summar); his stepgrandchildren, Garrett and Kelly; his grandchildren, Lee, Jason, Joseph Curbow, B. J. Stokes, Carrie Schmutz and Donald E. Gifford II; and his nephew Michael Wright. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
