It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donna May of Springfield, Missouri, who passed away on January 6, 2026, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, may Donna find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Eugene and Zelpha May Pruner (Ruggles); her husband Danny Lee Welte; her grandson D. C. Welte, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Leanne Welte; and her brother-in-law Val Fabyanic.
She is survived by: her sons, John Welte (Angela) of Greentop, Danny C. Welte of Bonne Terre and James Welte (Shela) of Springfield, Missouri; and her sisters, Sheryl Fabyanic of Lancaster, Connie Roberts (Mikel) of Lancaster and Brenda Barner (Mike) of Moberly, Missouri. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; six great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; other family members and numerous good friends.
