Eugenia Schellack Obituary

Eugenia Bernice (Scott) Schellack was born September 5, 1922 in Monett, Missouri and passed from this life in her home on December 30, 2021 at the age of 99 years.

Eugenia was preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Pearl Scott of Monett, Missouri; her husband Luckey Carl Schellack of Springfield, Missouri; her sons Luckey Alen and Rodney Scott Schellack of Springfield, Missouri; and her sister Neva Jacqueline Gilbert of Kansas City, Missouri.

Eugenia was raised in Monett where she lived until she moved to Springfield after she and Luckey were married on August 7, 1949. Eugenia was a loving wife and mother and a longtime member of Kingsway United Methodist Church. She enjoyed yoga, walking and riding her stationary bike, all of which she felt aided in her longevity.

She was involved with numerous charitable and social organizations in the Springfield area and was predeceased by many lifelong friends.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Hazelwood Cemetery in Springfield. Services are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home East.
