She was predeceased by: her husband Steve; her parents, J. Frank "Goldie" Howard and Opal Howard; and her mother-in-law Sue Lea. She is survived by: her children, John "Chris" Burkett (Amie), Jason Burkett (Stefanie) and Stephanie Ellis (Danny); her grandchildren, Killian Burkett (Mariah), Alexander Burkett, Madilyn Burkett, Justice Burkett, Raegan Ellis, Trinity Burkett, Peyton Ellis and Sean Ellis; her sisters, Sally Groves (Robert) and Sandy Vincent; and her father-in-law William Lea. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the East Grand Church of Christ. A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at the Cedar Valley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to New Covenant Academy in her honor to help support a school and community that she believed in.
