With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gail Chaney of Springfield, Missouri, who passed away on June 28, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roger Huebert and Marylou Huebert (Coole); her husband Gerald Chaney; and her brother Ronald Huebert. She is survived by: her son David Chaney (Christina); her grandson Glen Chaney; her daughter Nancy Smithson (Holland) of Springfield; her grandsons, Josh Smithson, Justin Smithson (Brittany), Brian Smithson (Rebekah), Daniel Smithson (Debbie) and Tyler Smithson (Brittany); and her great grandchildren, Kindall, Audra, Jase, Claire, Lillian, Caroline, Lauren, Demi, Reese, Rory and Rowan.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home (201 S Daniel Ave, Ash Grove, MO 65604). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ash Grove Cemetery.
