He was predeceased by: his parents, Ardie Lutes and Phyllis Lutes (Burch) of Piedmont, MO; and his brother Terry Lutes of Piedmont, MO.. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Virdon Lutes of Springfield, MO; his children, Troy Lutes of Wichita, KS, Todd Lutes (Beth) of Springfield, MO, Mandie O'Hara (Chris) of Bolivar, MO and Andew Miller of Ozark, MO.; and his grandchildren, Lauren O'Hara, Courtnie Miller, Taylor Lutes, Austin O'Hara, Connor Lutes and Camryn Miller.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery (5201 S Southwood Rd, Springfield, MO 65807).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, the Missouri State Patrol Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
