With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary Pagel (Springfield, Missouri), born in Wausau, Wisconsin, who passed away on July 7, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Pagel and Ruth Pagel; his siblings, Mary Storm and Henry Pagel; his son-in-law Robert; and his nephew Eldred Pagel.
He is survived by: his daughters, Marty Short and Dannette Pagel; his grandchildren, Michael Pagel, Amon Short, Becky Short, Brent Welch and Alex Pagel-Foster; and his great grandchildren, Rosealie, Gideon and Leo.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery (5201 S Southwood Rd, Springfield, MO 65804).
