He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Solon Melvin and Essie Mae Marchant; his wife Rama Lou Marchant; his children, Cindy Jean Brown, Sandra Jane Ensor, Lisa Gaye Brown and Ronald Gene Marchant; and his grandchildren, Jonathon Ray Brown, Jason Michael Ensor, Jeffrey David Brown, Mindy Renee Armstrong, Jennifer Michelle Brazil, Shelly Renee Norris, Joshua Paul Brown, Tyler Jay Ensor and Makayla Meyers. He was also cherished by Seventeen Great Grandchildren and many friends.
