He was predeceased by: his parents, George Howard Sr. and Florence Cecile Phillips (Binner); and his siblings, Rose Jones, Larry Phillips, Wallace McCarthy and Tessie Miller.

He is survived by: his sons, Robert Phillips (April) and Gary Phillips (Tammy); his grandsons, Jacob Phillips (Harley) and Andrew Phillips (Tyler); his great grandchildren, Silas, Luna, Charlie, Amelia and Orion; and his siblings, Charlotte Schifferle and Donald Phillips. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
