He was predeceased by: his parents, Icey Stevens and Taylor Stevens; his son Michael Stevens (Pamela); and his siblings, Delta Williams, Aruther and Fred Stevens.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Stevens. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and their partners; fourteen great-grandchildren; and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude.
