He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Donald Shuey and Lou Etta Shuey (Toland); and his sister Diane Letterman (Shuey). He is survived by: his wife Susan Shuey; his children, Mathew Shuey (Niki) and April Wagner (Jeremy); his granddaughters, Emerson, Frankie Shuey and Sonja Wagner; his sisters, Debbie Shuey (Terry White) and Donna Dickey (Leroy); his in-laws, Curt and Martha Cooper; and his brother-in-law Kevin Cooper. He is also survived by many other family members and many friends.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home (500 E Walnut St, Springfield, MO 65806).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Outdoor Fund at Bass Pro Shops or to the Missouri Department of Conservation.
