He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam "Mac" McKeel Ray and Oteka Ray (Ammons). He is survived by: his children, Mark Jennings and Tonya Jennings; and his brothers, Eddie Ray and Joe Ray. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
