He was predeceased by: his parents, Cora Ethel Ayers and James Edwin Ragain Sr.; his grandsons, Gabriel Ragain and Sean Thomas Ragain; and his siblings, Cora Fay Green, Mary Francis Mace and Gerald Ragain.
He is survived by: his sons, Mike (Linda), Gary Lee (Paula), Ed (Marguritte) and John D. (Theressa). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and family.
