He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Hal Moore, Sr. and Thelma Potter Moore Morris; his brother J. Hal Moore, Jr.; and his sister-in-law Hazeldene Moore Norman. He is survived by: his niece Cindy Moore; and his nephews, Matt and Jeff Moore.
He soon after founded the Jolly Mill Park Foundation which became the economic anchor that supported and developed the park to the public spectacle of interest that it is today.
