With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janice Lee Maddux (Springfield, Missouri), born in Louisburg, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 6, 2025 at the age of 75. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Myron Wise and Helen G. Wise (Soloman); her husband John Elvin Maddux; and her brother James Dale Wise. She is survived by: her children, Jamie Maddux-Furr (David), Mindy Maddux, Justin Maddux (Elizabeth) and Lisa Irvine (Mike); her grandchildren, Carson Key, Dustin Irvine (Kaylee) and Alissa Irvine; and her siblings-in-law, Patty Smith of Huntsville, AL and Louis Maddux (Jean) of Lebanon, MO.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 5:30 PM at 2015 W Battlefield Rd, Springfield, MO 65807.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Jude's Hospital in Memphis, TN of which Elvin and Janice were faithful donors. They always said they were blessed to have four healthy children; this was a charity of choice throughout their lifetime.
