With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry Dewayne Yarnell (Springfield, Missouri), who passed away on February 20, 2020 at the age of 45. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his mother-in-law Susie Wampler; and his pet Casey. He is survived by : his parents, Gerald Yarnell of Ozark and Judy Yarnell (Ellis) of Springfield; his wife Crystal Yarnell of Springfield; his children, Grace Yarnell of Springfield, Fallon Yarnell of Rogersville, Torrance Yarnell of Rogersville and Tristan Yarnell of Rogersville; his father-in-law Wayne Wampler of Springfield; his sisters, Becky Herron (Marc) of Springfield and Tammy Dickerson (Shaun) of Lebanon; and his nieces and nephews, Tandee Ferguson (Greg), Danika Wolf (Tristan), Kayla Herron, Victory Dickerson and Riley Herron. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, cousins and other close family and friends.

“i'm in shock, total shock. have been watching Jerry Yarnell on PBS every morning and love every minute of his teaching and personality. finally, after all this time, decided to get on the computer and send a note telling him how much enjoyment he brings, how likeable and great he is at explaining things. this is heartbreaking. just this morning he mentioned his beautiful 'bride' while working on a tuscany-type painting..you were loved; he was a gift to the world and will surely be missed”

“Please accept my heartfelt condolences, visiting his studio for a class was on my bucket list. I started painting after my husband passed in 2008, my daughter died in 1999. I followed Jerry on public television and learned so much. Painting is the best therapy ever and I owe so much to Jerry for helping me get through a tough time. I still love to paint and am so thankful for his lessons. Attached is a painting I did of my daughter and husband.”
