He was predeceased by: his wife Gracie; his parents, Harry Herron and Edith Smith; and his siblings, Bobby Herron and Ann Herron.
He is survived by: his children, Cathy Jarrett, Sheila Herron, Linda Herron, Janice Herron, Jimmy Herron Jr. and Mekalah Herron of Springfield; and his grandchildren, Melissa Herron-Hodge and Marvin Herron. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and many nephews, nieces, friends and family.
