We are sad to announce that, on March 2, 2023, at the age of 93, Joanne Saffeels of Springfield, Missouri, born in Detroit, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Aubrey VanHook and Edith VanHook; her husband George; and her brother James VanHook. She is survived by: her children, Gail (Don) of Oklahoma, Mark (Sherry) of Republic, MO and Dave of Springfield; her brother Carl (Donna) of Marionville; and her close friends, Jeff and Sheila Shaffer. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to In Time of Need Foundation in care of Phoenix Hospice 1839 E. Independence St. Springfield, MO 65804.
