He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Whittington and Thelma Whittington (McCauley); his wife Novella Whittington (Pryer); his son Jeff Whittington; his brother Jack Whittington; and his siblings-in-law, Virginia Whittington, Ann Pryer, Wilbur Pryer and Wilford Pryer.
He is survived by: his son Mark Whittington. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great, great-nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, other relatives and many great friends.
