He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lauf and Margaret Lauf; and his brother Leroy. He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his daughter Sherrie Gates (Eric); his grandchildren, Rachael Day (Jason) and D. J. Heglund (Gillian); his great grandchildren, Madison, Drake, Logan and Roxy; his great great grandchild Kannon; and his siblings, Don and Darlene. He is also survived by several brothers-in laws and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
