He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Eugene and Rosalie Roper (Aab); and his brother Michael Roper. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Ann Roper; his siblings, Susan Christy and Peter Roper; and his stepchildren, James McMannis, Audry Sowards, Katy Mills, Thomas McMannis and Jenna Lively. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Hazelwood Cemetery (1642 E Seminole St, Springfield, MO 65804).
