She was predeceased by: her parents, Laura Atkinson (Lathrom) and Echo Atkinson; her husband Shelby Dean Mitchell; and her son Chris Mitchell. She is survived by: her children, Shelby Mitchell (Daina) of Springfield, MO, Randal Mithcell (Melinda) of Springfield, MO and Cree Bowers (Brad) of Pueblo, CO.; her grandchildren, Brian Mitchell and Ashely Elsworth (Brian); her great grandchildren, Caleb, Elizabeth, Raylan, Dayson and Baylor; and her siblings, Judy Lancaster and Jack Atkinson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Greenlawn Funeral Home North (3600 N National Ave, Springfield, MO 65803). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Greenlawn North (3600 N National Ave, Springfield, MO 65803). A burial will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at the Prospect Cemetery.
