He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Pyle and Doris Pyle; his in-laws, Bill and Ethel Simmons; his stepsiblings, Brenda Campbell, Dorothy Maslin and Dickie Pyle; his sister Judy Taylor; his brothers-in-law, Elton Maslin, Tommy Goodwin, Chuck and John Taylor; and his grandparents, Virgil, Ruby Pyle, Bennie and Genevieve Simmons.
He is survived by: his wife Emily Beth (Simmons); his siblings, Carla Papenfuhs, Patricia Goodwin, Cheryl (Terry Goodwin), David (Lynn Pyle), Craig Pyle, Jeff (Lynn Pyle), Kerry (Margie Pyle) and Sherry (Mark Griffith); and his sisters-in-law, Cherryl Daugherty and Alicia Jones.
