He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Ewing and Juanita Ewing (Hamby); his brother Terry Ewing; and his nephew Michael Ewing. He is survived by: his children, David Ewing and Lynn Moore (Ewing); his grandchildren, Peyton Ewing, Austin Moore and Allie Moore; and his nephews, Brian Ewing and Tony Ewing.
