The passing of Laurie Jean Hanlen of Springfield, Missouri, born in San Bernardino, California leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on October 24, 2025 at the age of 72. She was predeceased by: her father Joseph; her brothers, Terry and Kim; and her mother June Hanlen. She is survived by: her sisters, Kathy Foster (Ron) of Springfield and Ricki Yeager of Montana; and her friends, Dottie, Mark and Mary Jo. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, Inc. (1947 E Seminole St, Springfield, MO 65804). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Gorman Scharpf Funeral Home (1947 E Seminole St, Springfield, MO 65804). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Agnes Cathedral (533 S Jefferson Ave, Springfield, MO 65806). A burial will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at the Hazelwood Cemetery (1642 E Seminole St, Springfield, MO 65804).
