She is survived by: her daughters, Robin Pepper, Terry Cutburth and Tina Freeman (Troy); and her grandchildren, Greg Carter (Candace) and Jessica Keeton (Derek). She is also survived by grandbabies; one sister.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lavatta's name to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
