Lela Mae Tarter Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 8, 2024, Lela Mae Tarter (Springfield, Missouri), born in Bristow, Oklahoma passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville Carney and Essie Carney (Eby-Yocum); her husband Chuck Tarter; her children, Charlotte Thurman (Tarter), Hershell Lee Hicks and Martha Hicks; and her siblings, James Carney and Louise Davis (Carney).

She is survived by: her children, Clayton (Gloria Tarter), Bud (Karen Tarter), Chris (Debbie Tarter) and Tina (Mark Solari); and her grandchildren, Mike Hicks, Rene' Mann (Hicks), Jason Tarter, Jamie Weeces (Tarter), Tyler Tarter, David Tarter, Kimberly Jett (Tarter), Sean Thurman, Maegan Kupp (Thurman), Andrew Tarter and Alicia Scroggins (Tarter). She is also survived by Great Grandchildren and Two Great Great Grandchildren. And many many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Eisenhour Cemetery, Rita Stephens Treasurer, 96 Carol Lane, Galena, MO 65656-8610.
