It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary O. Thompson of Springfield, Missouri, born in Concordia, Kansas, who passed away on March 20, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Barbara Curtis and Lindell Owensby; her sister Peggy Simon; and her stepdaughter Katrina Holland. She is survived by : her husband Apostle Larry Maddox of Springfield, Missouri; her sisters, Rebecca Webb of Springfield and Patricia Macfarlane (Mark Matthew) of Gulf Breeze, Florida; her children, Justin Thompson (Stephanie) of Olathe and Abbie Elpers (Ben) of Wichita; her stepchildren, Sedalia Wade (Corey) of Chattanooga, Shakia Wells and Larry Maddox Jr. of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and her pet Sasha. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Per Mary's request, in lieu of flowers or memorial trees, memorial donations to please be made to New Growth Ministries (1351 N Marion Ave. Springfield, Misssouri 65802).

Beverly Madison wrote a sympathy message

“Apostle Larry, I am so sorry for your loss. I know she will be missed and cherished always. Please accept my condolences. I enjoyed getting to know her when we were together in March 2020. It meant so much to me for both of you to attend my son's services in September of that same year. She even took a video of the service. I will always remember her exuberance and hospitality.
