He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth McGowan and Beatrice McGowan (Ashton); and his brothers, Bruce and David. He is survived by: his wife Vicki McGowan of Springfield; his son Bryce Joseph McGowan of San Antonio, Texas; his grandchildren, Riley Kaia McGowan and Annie Christina McGowan; his stepson Gavin Griffin (Laura); his granddaughter Madylin of Springfield; his stepdaughter Erin Craney (Steven); his grandchildren, Liam and Rowan Craney of Houston, Texas; his brother Gregory; and his sisters-in-law, Marie and Sharon. He is also survived by several nieces and a nephew.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Redeemer Lutheran Church (911 W Mt Vernon St, Nixa, MO 65714). A graveside service was held on Monday, May 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hazelwood Cemetery (1675 E Seminole St, Springfield, MO 65804).
