He is survived by: his wife Glenda Miller (Watson); his grandchildren, Tucker Miller, Laddie Trithara (Dakoda), Chauncey Miller, Mariah Dale, Emma Shaw (Jacob), Carson Dale and Samuel Bohannan; his sisters, Celia Sutherland and Mary Jane Jaynes (Barry); and his sisters-in-law, Almedia Denny and Joyce Snyder. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and lifelong friends.

In honor of Joe's service and values, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
