He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Atkinson and Dorene Atkinson; his siblings, Ray Atkinson, Fred Atkinson and Geraldine Horrell; and his son Kevin Atkinson.
He is survived by: his spouse Jody Atkinson; and his children, Jef Atkinson (Veronica) of Springfield, Missouri, Crystle Nell (Robert) of Springfield, Missouri and Gene Atkinson (Sandy) of Owasso, Oklahoma.. He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
