He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Gibson and Bertie Leota Fry Gibson; his son Dewayne Ray Gibson (Kurt York) of Brighton; and his sisters, Mavis (William Jackson) and Velma Dickens.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Faye Deweese McNutt; his daughters, Cheryl Gibson of Springfield and Lisa (Doug Bean) of Havre, Montana; his brothers, Donald (Donna Gibson) of Licking and Olen (Frances) of Licking, Missouri; and his siblings' children, William Jackson, Dennis Roseberry, Greg Helton, Devona Willis, Carol Adams, Brenda Swearengin, Rhonda Kirkwood, Karen Akers, Debbie Duquette and Barbra Gibson. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
