It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phillip Ray Gibson of Springfield, Missouri, who passed away on May 29, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Phillip Ray Gibson to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Gibson and Bertie Leota Fry Gibson; his son Dewayne Ray Gibson (Kurt York) of Brighton; and his sisters, Mavis (William Jackson) and Velma Dickens.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Faye Deweese McNutt; his daughters, Cheryl Gibson of Springfield and Lisa (Doug Bean) of Havre, Montana; his brothers, Donald (Donna Gibson) of Licking and Olen (Frances) of Licking, Missouri; and his nieces and nephews, William Jackson, Dennis Roseberry, Greg Helton, Devona Willis, Carol Adams, Brenda Swearengin, Rhonda Kirkwood, Karen Akers, Debbie Duquette and Barbra Gibson. He is also survived by three grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery (3600 N National Ave, Springfield, MO 65803).
