Ralph A. Downs III Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ralph A. Downs III (Springfield, Missouri), born in Mobile, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 17, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Ralph A. Downs and Katherine Simmons Nelson; and his brothers, Andy Downs and Richard Downs. He is survived by: his children, Charlotte Downs (Michael McAfee), Martine Downs Pollard (David) and Ralph Downs IV; his grandchildren, Denise Pollard and Nelson Pollard; his brother John Downs; and his stepsiblings, Harriet McElroy (John), Wayne Nelson (Cheryl), Keith Nelson, Gilmer Nelson, Susan Penick (Carroll) and Cindy Wage (Olin).
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Fayetteville National Cemetery (1000 S Lt Col Leroy Pond Ave, Fayetteville, AR 72701).
