It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Edward Young Jr. of Springfield, Missouri, who passed away on April 10, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Young, (McCroskey) and Raymond Young, Sr.; his stepfather E. R. Shaffer; his brothers, Jim and Joe Young; and his father-in-law Robert Baird.
He is survived by: his wife Deana Baird; his daughter Megan Keller (Kris); his grandchildren, Truitt and Eloise; his sister Linda Hodges (Frank); his sister-in-law Becky Young; his mother-in-law Ann Baird; and his brother-in-law Sandy Baird (Karen).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Greenlawn Funeral Home - North (3506 N National Ave, Springfield, MO 65803). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Greenlawn Funeral Home North (3506 N National Ave, Springfield, MO 65803).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Ray's honor to Mentoring Mission, the ministry Deana began 15 years ago for spiritual gathering and support for single adult ladies.
