It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard L. Lawless (Springfield, Missouri), who passed away on November 17, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Lawless and Eleanor Lawless (Studsky); his wife Domenica "Mamie" Lawless (Battaglia); and his siblings, Mary Denness and Tommy Lawless.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Lawless (Joni), Marie Stowe, Theresa Killingsworth (Brad), Michael Lawless (Cheryl) and Chris Lawless (Jay Young); and his grandchildren, Tara Lacio (Dany), Matt Stowe, Peter Lawless (Alexis), Logan Killingsworth (Erin), Courtney Stowe, Brett Killingsworth (Erin), Kyle Killingsworth, Ryan Lawless and Audrey Lawless-Young. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Immaculate Conception Church (3555 S Fremont Ave, Springfield, MO 65804).
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to plant something in your garden, enjoy a good meal with people you love, or say exactly what's on your mind, Dick would have appreciated that.
