He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora L. Goodin and Dorothy Mae Goodin (Speak); his sister Nancy Abramovitz; and his former wife Dixie (Gearing). He is survived by: his wife Gayle Reed; his brother Dr. L. Wayne Goodin (Cheryl) of Republic, MO; his brother-in-law Alan Abramovitz of Kansas City, MO; his daughters, Janet Buchanan (Tony), Karen Goodin of Springfield, MO, Dr. Becky Morrison (Bart) of Houston, TX and Kim Hamilton (Phil) of Joplin, MO.; his grandchildren, Kellie Hicks, Andrew Buchanan, Amanda Bass, Jacob Hamilton, Matthew Hamilton, Christopher Morrison and Hayley Hampton; his great grandchildren, Kaitlynn Hall, Nicholas Buchanan, Zachary Buchanan, Colby Buchanan, Evelyn Bass, Levi Bass, Jaxson Hamilton, Sawyer Hamilton and Henry Hampton; and his great great grandchild Paislee Hall.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Springfield Springfield (525 South Ave, Springfield, MO 65806). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (525 South Ave, Springfield, MO 65806).
