He was predeceased by: his parents, Phyllis Hester and Nelson "Shorty" Johnson, Jr.; and his brother-in-law Maurice Forner Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Pam Johnson; his children, Christina Patton (William), Robert Michael Johnson (Rachel), Jeffery Johnson (Kati) and Jessica Moses (Jason); his grandchildren, Kyle, Brooklyn, Maya, Jaxx, Elijah, Zane, Aiden, Junior, Reece and Madelyn; and his siblings, Lori Allen and Fred Jurczewski.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
