He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley McCarthy and Wilda McCarthy; his great grandchild Tristan Tumelo Tolbert; his brother Bill; his sisters-in-law, Lucy Dart and Linda McCarthy; and his niece Melissa Dart.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley McCarthy; his children, Candace Ellerman (Ray), Craig McCarthy and Cynthia McCarthy; his granddaughters, Danielle Liseli McCarthy, Wezi-Anne McCarthy and Michelle Tamara McCarthy; his great grandchild Destyn Neo Hyde-McCarthy; his brothers, Robert McCarthy, Ronald McCarthy (Sandra) and Paul Dart (Judy); and his nieces and nephews, Christie Clemmons (Ben), Suzanne Richards (Frank), Rodney McCarthy, Sally Loftis (Brett), Michelle Adams, James Dart and Corey Dart (Jennifer).
