With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sara J. Shelley of Springfield, Missouri, who passed away on October 25, 2022 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Eva Crosswhite (Turner) and Carl Crosswhite; her stepfather Lyle Clopton; and her brother John. She is survived by: her brother Massacre; her husband Larry Shelley of Springfield; her children, Dan (Lane Beauchamp) and Anne (Bridget Gibson) of Fayetteville, AR; and her close friend Carol Dawson of Springfield.

Instead, it encourages donations in Sara's memory to the Springfield-based nonprofit Care to Learn (caretolearn.org), which provides immediate funding "to meet emergent health, hunger and hygiene needs so every student can be successful in school.".
