She is survived by: her daughter Michelle (Terry Shelton) of Londonderry, NH; her grandson Alexander Shelton of Springfield, MO; her great grandchild Jackson McKaslin-Shelton of Philipsburg, MO; her niece Summer Cate (Brandon Altemueller); her nephews, Colby and Gavin Cate; her sister-in-law Donna Brothers of Redding, CA; and her nephew Colin Stewart of Rock Springs, WY..

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests honoring Gay's memory through a donation to the Cold Weather Men's Shelter at the East Sunshine Church of Christ, a cause Gay passionately supported through her time volunteering.
