She was predeceased by: her parents, Charley Rogers and Edna Powell Rogers; and her husband Floyd Hendricks. She is survived by: her friend Naomi Whiteker; her children, Jeffrey (Leah Hendricks) and Janette (Jason Lange); and her grandchildren, Trenton Lange, Darren Lange, Rebekah Hendricks, Jeffrey Dean Hendricks (JD), Braden Lange, Bailey Lange, Emily Hendricks and Abigail Hendricks.

While she didn't understand the isolation of the Covid–19 quarantine, she still understood Jesus' love for her, prayer, and Floyd's love.

When Alzheimer's began attacking Shirley over twelve years ago, she dreaded what she knew would be the darkest night of her life.
