She was predeceased by: her husband James Paul Schroder; her son Rolan Dale Schroder (R. D.); her former husband Ronald Hearn; and her parents, Jasper Carrington and Helen Carrington.

She is survived by: her children, Raymond (Vernetta Schroder), Diana (Steven Sellers) and James Jr. (Marsha Schroder); her granddaughter Katie Sellers; and her close friend Marcella Cotter. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
