He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie G Hawkins and Dorothy Hawkins (Hutchison); his sister Norma Lee; and his nieces, Jennifer Gordon and Pamela Godrey.

He is survived by: his wife Cathy Hawkins (Wadlow); his daughter Hannah; his son-in-law Sloan Wood; his grandchildren, Hazel Wood and Alexander Wood; his nephew Bruce Gordon; his great-aunt Lucy Hutchison; and his dogs, Squishy and Mandy.
